OBSIDIAN ARROW LLP
Legal form: Limited Liability Partnership

OBSIDIAN ARROW LLP is the sole rights holder of the Platform, including the "AMANAH AI" designation, domain name, source code, assessment methodology, all analytical algorithms and other intellectual property.
Purpose and Scope of the Service
AMANAH AI is a commercial analytical platform for the preliminary assessment of companies’ readiness for Islamic financing (Shariah Readiness Assessment).
The Platform provides the following services:
- Preliminary assessment across the 6 blocks of the AMANAH AI methodology, based on AAOIFI standards with references to IFSB;
- Preparation of the Shariah Readiness Report (one report per company);
- Identification of risk areas for non-compliance with Islamic finance principles;
- An action plan for unmet items and a re-assessment on request after fixes;
- Sharing the application, report and selected documents with a financial institution chosen by the client, with the client’s consent;
- Preparation of materials for review by financial institutions. The Platform does not guarantee financing and does not transfer funds.
The Platform is intended for legal entities and sole proprietors who want to assess their business’s readiness for Islamic financing, and for financial institutions that receive such materials with the companies’ consent.
What the Service Does NOT Produce
| What the output is NOT | Explanation |
|---|---|
| A Fatwa | A religious ruling may only be issued by a qualified Islamic scholar (Mufti, Shariah scholar). No algorithm or analytical system can substitute for such a ruling. |
| An Official Shariah Certificate | The Platform is not a Shariah certification body. Official opinions on Shariah compliance are issued by the Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) of a financial institution or another authorised Shariah body. |
| Legal Advice | The Platform's outputs are not legal advice, legal expertise, or the opinion of a licensed attorney. For legal matters, consult a qualified lawyer. |
| An Investment Recommendation | The Platform is not a licensed investment adviser. Any investment decisions are made by the user independently and at their own risk. |
| An Audit Opinion | The Platform's scoring is not a financial statement audit. For financial audit purposes, engage a licensed auditor. |
| A Guarantee of Investment | A high score or a high readiness level does not guarantee financing from any financial institution. The institution decides independently. |
How the Methodology Works
The AMANAH AI methodology is AMANAH AI’s own methodology based on the publicly available standards of AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions), with references to IFSB (Islamic Financial Services Board) standards. It comprises 6 blocks and 27 checks; its summary (weights, checks, thresholds and caps) is published on the Assessment Approach page:
- Business activity and Shariah screening — whether the core business is prohibited or restricted, the activities in the charter, Shariah governance (policy, board or adviser);
- Revenue sources — the share of interest and other impermissible income, declared revenue sources, interest in bank statements;
- Financial structure — balance-sheet ratios (interest-bearing debt, interest-bearing deposits and loans granted) and the terms of financing agreements;
- Commercial contracts — terms of contracts with customers and suppliers: interest, late-payment penalties, price uncertainty (gharar), insurance;
- Transparency — audit, disclosure of owners and beneficiaries, registration, legibility and consistency of documents;
- Financing readiness and ESG — the financing request and instrument, business plan, zakat, income purification and ESG.
Analysis is carried out on the basis of the data and documents submitted by the user. Text-based PDF, Word, Excel and CSV files are read automatically; scans are recognised by OCR on the Operator’s server or, if the Operator has enabled it, by an AI model (Anthropic Claude), if a file cannot be read, it is flagged and checked manually. The checks are rule-based; the report is published automatically once payment is received and the analysis is complete. Gaps and conflicts between documents are never replaced with zero but are shown in the report; any manual change to a result is logged with its reason. The accuracy of results depends directly on the completeness and accuracy of the data provided.
Limitation of Operator Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, OBSIDIAN ARROW LLP shall not be liable for:
- any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses of the user;
- loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities;
- loss of user data due to technical failures;
- decisions made by the user based on Platform outputs;
- errors, inaccuracies, or outdated data submitted by the user or third parties;
- temporary unavailability of the Platform due to technical reasons;
- actions of third parties, including hosting providers, email services, API partners and financial institutions;
- religious, ethical, or reputational consequences for the user;
- any mismatch between the user's expectations and the actual results of the analysis.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any express or implied warranties.
The aggregate liability of OBSIDIAN ARROW LLP to any user shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the user for Platform services in the 12 months preceding the claim.
User Responsibility
The user bears full and sole responsibility for:
- the accuracy, completeness, and currency of data submitted during registration and the application process;
- any decisions (investment, business, financial, religious) made using Platform outputs;
- compliance of their own activities with applicable law;

Islamic Law Disclaimer (Not a Fatwa)
The Platform is not a Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB), has no authority to issue religious rulings, and does not claim to replace the opinion of a qualified Islamic scholar.
To obtain an official Shariah ruling, users should consult:
- a qualified Islamic scholar (Shariah scholar / Mufti);
- the Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) of the financial institution or another authorised Shariah body;
- a national Islamic finance regulator (e.g., BNM in Malaysia, CBUAE in the UAE).
Data and Accuracy Limitations
The user acknowledges and accepts the following limitations:
| Limitation | Description |
|---|---|
| Input data quality | The accuracy of the analysis is determined by the quality of data submitted by the user. Incomplete or inaccurate data leads to incorrect results. |
| Limits of automation | Any automated system has margins of error. That is why every figure refers to its source document, gaps and conflicts are shown explicitly, and the user can report an error and request a re-assessment; the assessment is nevertheless limited to the materials provided. |
| Up-to-date standards | AAOIFI and IFSB standards are periodically updated. The Platform endeavours to keep its methodology current, but does not guarantee immediate reflection of all changes. |
| Regional differences | The interpretation of Islamic finance norms may differ across jurisdictions (Malaysia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, etc.). Platform outputs do not account for all regional specificities. |
| Business changes | Analysis results are accurate as of the date of submission. Changes to the user's business model require a new assessment. |
